On behalf of the Amka Dada club we have the pleasure of inviting you to TEDx Thika Road Women to be held on Friday December 1st in the USIU Auditorium from 19am - 12noon. The tickets are going for Ksh.150 and there are 100 spaces available. Bookings can be done by sending a message to our facebook page. Created in the spirit of TED's mission of, "ideas worth spreading", the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently. The theme of the four 15 minute presentations that will be presented on that afternoon is "Positive Feminist". This will encompass a speaker sharing their story with the core of your presentation being a specific idea or insight which is endearing to them and they would like to share with the audience. This is in line with the main mission of TED which is "Ideas Worth Spreading".

What is TEDxWomen?
TEDxWomen is a TEDx event organized by the Paley Center for Media that focuses on women and women's issues. TEDxWomen type events are TEDx events hosted around the live webcast of TEDxWomen, and also feature local speakers. Our event is called TEDxThikaRoadWomen and is one of many TEDx events happening around the globe between November 30th and December 1st that will expand on the ideas brought up at TEDxWomen.
